NZ Snowboarder discovers Temple Basin, and Trevor Ponting ends up with cover shot out of the trip. The 5-day visit also includes Victoria Newman, Jason Brown, and Matt Findlay, and a convincing pictorial showing exactly what the deeper parts of our Southern Alps have to offer. “Cliff Notes” talks about the annual pro onslaught finding a downside, with many proving to be complete assholes. In stark contrast, the influx of Japanese riders is annoyingly polite, friendly and courteous. “Local” is the photo gallery, featuring rad shots and morphed action from Quentin Robbins, Dean’o Johnston, Brendon Dixon, Magoo, and Pam Bell. “Fast Forward” includes Penelope Underwood, and future mag associate editor Dylan Butt.
