Our 50th issue cover features Rob Mitchell at Temple Basin. “Essence” displays Nick Hyne, Stef Zeestraten, and Deni Bevin. There are two “Trick Tips”, one with Nick Brown throwing a front 270 onto a rail, and another with Nick Hyne tossing a switch back 9. “Hynesight” is about getting motivated. “Best Cover” puts all past covers to the vote, and “Revisited” checks in with Deano Johnston. “Spot Check” goes to Silvretta Montafon in Austria, and “Twothousandandeight” looks back at the best season in years. There’s an “Interview” with legend Terje Haakonsen, and another one with Mark Anderson. Our “50th Issue Gallery” is huge, with shots of Will Jackways, Nick Brown, Neville Lapwood, Eric Themel, Heath Patterson, Spencer Falls, Stef Zeestraten, Louis Purucker, Nick Hyne, and Roland Morley-Brown. The “09 Buyer’s Guide” is also fairly hefty. Karl Dunham looks at rocker boards in “Edge”, followed by a rash of contest reviews. Joel Westcot looks at the history of “The Indy”, Vaughan Brookfield is exposed in “On the Job”, and there’s a spring fling with “Coro’s After Hours”. Taking “Fast Forwards” are Ruari McFarlane, Rebecca Sinclair, and Alex Harper.
